Say Hello to the 2016 Lincoln MKX

JACKSON, Mich. - Say "Hello" to the all new 2016 Lincoln MKX, the second-generation crossover featuring a gorgeous new dramatic and sculpted look. Lincoln Motor Company stepped up their game with this model, creating it in such a way that it would appeal to a wide variety of customers all over the globe. The new 2016 Lincoln MKX will be able to provide customers with more technology, multiple engine choices, and a variety of customizable options. 

The 2016 Lincoln MKX will have a standard 3.7-liter V-6 rated engine that will produce about 300 horsepower. Customers will also have the option of a 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine that is rated at roughly 330 horsepower! Regardless of the engine you choose, all of the power is sent to the MKX's front wheels through an automatic six-speed transmission with SelectShift and push-button controls. There will be six trim levels available on the 2016 MKX, including two brand new Black Label trims. One of the newest trims was inspired by the lifestyle, art scene, and fashion of 1920s Paris. The second represents the passion, excitement, and pageantry of thoroughbred horse racing. 

You wanted more technology? Well, ask and you shall receive. The MKX is full of new driving and safety features like an available 360-degree camera, pre-collision assist, lane departure warning, and a new vehicle hold system so that the driver won't have to hold constantly hold the brake while sitting in traffic. The 2016 Lincoln MKX also offers adaptable LED headlamps that will help illuminate turns and winded the width of low beam between 0 and 35 mph! As far as entertainment technology goes, Lincoln and Revel have joined forces to bring the first high-end Revel audio system for the Lincoln brand. The available 13- or 19-speaker systems offer incredible three-mode Surround Sound, real-time music reconstruction from compressed sources, and a 20-channel high-voltage hybrid amp to provide listeners with the highest quality of dynamics. 

The all new 2016 Lincoln MKX is expected to go on sale in the U.S. this fall!

Lincoln and Revel Bring Premium Sound to Luxury Vehicles

JACKSON, Mich. - After announcing an exclusive 10-year collaboration, Lincoln and Revel are bringing premium sound to luxury vehicles! Lincoln brand vehicles will be the only automotive brand offering Revel audio systems and able to create a mesmerizing audio experience unlike any other.

Revel is known for providing customers with premium home audio equipment, but now they are teaming up with Lincoln Motor Company to bring customers incredible acoustics and intuitive technologies. Revel worked with Lincoln engineers and designers to perfect the "Science of Sound" during the vehicle design process. Each speaker has been strategically placed, tuned, calibrated, and formed inside of each of the unique Lincoln models to ensure only the highest of quality and accuracy. 

QuantumLogic Surround is the next-generation surround-sound technology that the Revel audio systems from Lincoln will feature. Lincoln owners will use their MyLincoln Touch screen to select one of three listening modes - Traditional Stereo; Audience, which disintegrates the boundaries of the vehicle and provides an intimate concert experience; and On Stage, an experience that puts listeners in the middle of the music and places individual instruments throughout the cabin. The sound system also includes Revel Ultima Clari-Fi™, a HARMAN technology that rebuilds auto details lost in digitally compressed music. 

In order for Lincoln and Revel to bring premium sound to luxury vehicles, this sound system had to be carefully though out and executed by Revel and Lincoln engineers. The tweeters in each vehicle will be positioned just so, ensuring that listeners hear a seamless blend between the tweeters and midrange speakers. The very first Lincoln vehicle to contain the system will be the next-generation MKX midsize utility.

Mustang and Lincoln's January Sales Withstood Rough Winter Weather

JACKSON, Mich - It is safe to say that with snow fall totaling up to 40 inches and temperatures dropping to record lows since 1942; this Michigan winter was one for the books. Fortunately enough for Ford Motor Company, Mustang and Lincoln's January sales withstood the rough winter weather and were able to come out on top at the end of the month. Although Ford's total of 156,644 vehicle sales are down 7 percent from a year ago and retail sales of 113,721 vehicles are off by 5 percent, the Mustang and Lincoln brand didn't encounter such losses. 

There were a few troubling circumstances due to the weather that Ford had to overcome. The weather impacted the timing of fleet deliveries and they considered themselves fortunate to keep retail sales at the percentage it was. However, there were some positive outcomes of this brutal winter. A total of 3,881 Mustangs sold in the month of January and made for the best beginning-of-year performance since 2010! 

Lincoln was also a bright light at the end of the tunnel. The Lincoln brand had seen the strongest sales in four years throughout the month of January. Lincoln sales are up 43 percent, bringing in a total of 5,973 sold vehicles in the month of January. The increase of the sales were mainly from the Lincoln MKZ, with 2,122 vehicles sold, and the Lincoln MKX, with 2,479 vehicles sold.
