When it comes to competing in the luxury vehicle market, a quiet vehicle interior is key and Lincoln took that requirement seriously with its current vehicle lineup. The specialized technology for the 2015 Lincoln MKC's quiet interior is a prime example of how the automaker went to extreme lengths to guarantee a serene atmosphere inside the SUV. To eliminate exterior noise, the 2015 MKC is equipped with noise-reducing tires, a special exhaust system, aerodynamic side mirrors, and an acoustic windshield and front side glass (available with the Reserve Package). Then, on the inside of the SUV sound-absorbing and dampening materials are incorporated into the trim panels, pillars, rocker sealing, and carpets to further reduce noise. And all of that is the simple stuff! Most impressive is the vehicle's active-noise cancellation system which cancels out unwanted cabin noise detected by microphones by sending out inverted sound frequencies so the two waves negate each other!
Taking the 2015 Lincoln MKC's quiet interior one step further, the automaker provides owners the option to keep their interiors free of noise distractions as well with a "Do Not Disturb" feature that blocks all incoming calls and text messages!
So whether you want to blast your favorite tunes through Lincoln's SYNC system or be able to hear a pin drop, the 2015 Lincoln MKC delivers!
