Celebrating the 4th of July Around Jackson

JACKSON, Mich - Are you Celebrating the 4th of July Around Jackson? If so, you are in for a huge treat because there are so many awesome Independence Day festivities going on around town! One of our favorite parts of this holiday weekend? All of the outstanding firework shows! There are several different firework displays taking place this weekend, check out the list below and start making your weekend plans:

Friday, July 3rd:

  • Albion Fireworks: Superior Street Bridge over the Kalamazoo River at dusk.
  • Cascades - Jackson Fireworks: Cascade Falls Park located at 1400 S. Brown Street. Festivities will begin at 7 p.m. and the fireworks show will start at dusk. Admission to the falls is $6 per person, children 10 and younger are free.
  • Hillsdale Fireworks: Hillsdale County Fairgrounds located at 115 S. Broad Street, at dusk. The Great American Parade will be going through downtown at 6 p.m.
  • Manchester Fireworks: Carr Park located at 600 W. Main Street, at dusk.
  • Pleasant Lake: Pleasant Lake Campground located at 4401 Styles Road, at dusk.
  • Wolf Lake: Camp Teetonkah located at 3710 Burkhart Road, at dusk.
Saturday, July 4th:
  • Brooklyn Fireworks: Columbia Middle School located at 321 School Road, at dusk. There will also be a downtown Brooklyn Fourth of July parade at 10 AM.
  • Devils Lake Fireworks: From the Sand Bar on Devils Lake Highway at dusk.
  • Eaton Rapids: Howe Field located at 200 S Main St, at 10:15 p.m.
  • Hanover-Horton: Perrine Park at dusk. There will also be a Fourth of July Celebration all day starting at 7 AM with a pancake breakfast, followed by a parade at 11 AM. Visit hh4thofjuly.com  for the full schedule.
  • Mason: Ingham County Fairgrounds located at 700 E. Ash Street, at dusk.
  • Somerset Township: McCourtie Park located at 12715 East Chicago Road, at dusk.
  • Wolf Lake: Camp Teetonkah located at 3710 Burkhart Road, at dusk.

Red, White and Blue Desserts for the Fourth of July!

JACKSON, Mich - America's birthday is just a few days away! Whether you are celebrating by heading up north, attending a barbecue or watching a local parade, there is always time to have some dessert! No one wants to spend an entire afternoon in the kitchen, so why not try one of these delicious and time-saving Red, White and Blue Desserts for the Fourth of July!
