JACKSON, Mich - Ford is ready to test their all-new right-hand-drive Mustang, the first of its kind to roll off of the Ford assembly line. With the addition of the right-hand-drive Mustang, the iconic pony car can now be exported to more than 25 right-hand-drive markets around the globe including the United Kingdom, Australia and South America.
The all-new 2015 Ford Mustang will be going on sale this fall in the United States and making its global debut to more than 120 countries within the next year. Ford engineers have recently finished the construction of the right-hand-drive sixth-generation Mustang prototype. Several development tests are now being conducted to ensure that the pony car is ready to enter the global market in the upcoming months.
Since the Mustang's 1964 debut, Ford has seen more than 9.2 million in sales from the United States as well as more than 161,000 Mustangs sold outside of North America during that same time period. In 2012, more than 4,000 Mustangs were sold in 35 countries outside of North America ranging from the United Arab Emirates to the Philippines.

This Mustang celebration has become so massive that Ford Motor Company and the Mustang Club of America will be holding two simultaneous events at two locations on April 16-20. The Charlotte Motor Speedway and Las Vegas Motor Speedway will be the two hosting venues that will be giving Mustang fans memories to last a lifetime. "Pony Drives" have been organized so that Mustang fanatics from around the U.S. can travel together to either of the venues. Representatives from outside the United States are actually shipping their Mustangs over so that they will be able to partake in the "Pony Drive" event.
The countries that will be making the Mustang 50 Year Anniversary a World-Wide Affair are: United States of America, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Holland, Italy, and the United Kingdom. The love for the iconic pony car and excitement for this event are what made Ford Motor Company decide to offer the 2015 Mustang globally for the very first time. JACKSON, Mich - No Body Double Necessary for the Ford Mustang in "Need for Speed" because this time around, the 2014 Ford Mustang GT had done all of its own stunts. Director Scott Waugh, felt that this film needed an authentic touch and that computer-generated images just wouldn't do. As former stuntman, Waugh understands the law of physics and that in order to execute a realistic film, you have to keep the physics in touch with the characters and storyline.
For superhero, science fiction and fantasy films, computer-generated images are the perfect choice. However, for telling the story of Toby Marshall's journey across the country, this requires more believable shots. Seven modified 2014 Ford Mustangs were used for filming -only three survived- and were all strategically shot to give the audience that thrilling ride experience
More than 40 different digital cameras were used to get all of the needed angles and images of the Mustang. When on-the-road sequences were shot, a Supercharged 2013 Mustang GT was used as a camera car to capture the close-in action shots.
Actors who were lucky enough to get behind the wheel of the hero car were required to take a training course at the Willow Springs International Motorsports Park in California. They were taught how to handle the Mustang when drifting around corners and how to hit the precise marks the director wanted when driving. Professional stunt drivers, like Vaughn Gittin Jr. for instance, required no additional training. Gittin is a champion drifter and easily whipped the 2015 Ford Mustang around to the exact place Scott Waugh wanted it.

JACKSON, Mich - Director Scott Waugh of the soon-to-be hit movie, "Need for Speed", says that the Mustang is the Perfect Fit for the film. Waugh told Ford Media, "the best car movies combine tons of power, real-wheel drive, great handling and the ability to be easily flung around corners". What better choice than the all-new 2015 Mustang for the role? A car that Waugh and many can agree "represents America at its best".
As the the new Mustang's first film, "Need for Speed" is the perfect debut to show the true spirit of the Mustang to an audience. In the film Toby Marshall, portrayed by Emmy award-winner Aaron Paul, drives across the county to seek redemption after a friend of his was killed. The Mustang is the perfect vehicle for Toby not only because of its performance, but also its symbolic meaning. The pony car has been known for the past five decades for bringing a sense of passion, freedom, and optimism to fans and drivers.
The performance features of the Mustang are of course are a large contributor to the film. Ford engineers and designers equipped the "Need for Speed" Mustang with a custom wide-body kit, unique lighting, and a supercharged V8 engine. Even when the Mustang is parked it looks fast! Scott Waugh did what he had to do to ensure these and all other aspects of the beloved to vehicle were fully executed on the silver screen.
Scott Waugh recently released a co-branded ad for the film and the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang at the Daytona 500 this past Sunday. Along with promotion the vehicle and the movie, the ad also was the start of the #InaMustang social media campaign. Fans near and far can share their stories, videos, and photos of where they want to go "in a Mustang".
