The new 2015 Lincoln MKZ ads featuring Matthew McConaughey will officially debut during the New Year's Day college football bowl games. The two ads follow the same style and tone of the "Live in Your Moment" campaign, while spotlighting some unique features of the MKZ and MKZ Hybrid. Lincoln is hoping to spark even more interest in the brand's already best-selling vehicle through these new TV and online ads.

One of the ads is titled "Diner" and highlights the 2015 Lincoln MKZ's sleek exterior, spacious interior, push-button start, MyLincoln Touch drive connectivity system, and the available retractable panoramic roof. The other spot titled "Balance" was created to emphasize to luxury car buyers that they do not need to compromise style for environmental responsibility. • Replace your windshield wiper blades and refill your washer fluid. It is no secret that snow, ice, and slush bombard our windshields in the winter and disrupt our view, which is why we highly advise you keep your wiper blades at their best!

• Consider a half full gas tank as empty. Is it a hassle to fill up more often in the winter? Absolutely. However, below zero temperatures and a half full gas tank do not mix and increase the chances of your fuel tank freezing up.

• Keep a Winter Safety Kit in your vehicle at all times. If anything should happen - say you didn't listen to our previous tip and you run out of gas - it is extremely beneficial to have a safety kit on hand. Your kit should include things like a blanket, a flashlight with extra batteries, a first-aid kit, snacks, a windshield scraper, and booster cables.

New Ford Safety Technology with Pedestrian Detection Prevents Accidents

JACKSON, Mich. – While they are still relatively new, you have probably heard about Ford Motor Company's driver-assist systems that act as another set of eyes for drivers and encourage safe driving practices to prevents collisions with other vehicles. That suite of systems is now expanding to include a new technology – Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection – a new Ford technology with detection to prevent pedestrian accidents!

So while the current driver-assist features are helpful in reducing collisions with other vehicles, the new Ford safety technology with pedestrian detection prevents accidents with people! Through the use of a windshield-mounted camera and radar located near the bumped, the system can scan the roadway and provide an audible and visual warning to the driver if a possible collision is detected! This risk could be with a pedestrian crossing the street or even a vehicle in front of you. If the driver does not respond to the warning, the vehicle intervenes and improves braking responsiveness by reducing the space between the brake pads and disks, and then automatically applies full braking force if the driver does not respond!

Incorporating Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection into Ford Motor Company vehicles can drastically reduce the severity and even prevent certain forward collisions with other vehicles at all speeds and with pedestrians at lower speeds! And, it's even smart enough to distinguish the difference between pedestrians in the roadway and typical roadside scenery and objects!
