JACKSON, Mich - Ford and Fashion Collaborate to Create the Mustang Unleashed Collection, a one-of-a-kind 15-shirt collection that is set to go on sale globally this coming fall. Fashion designers Anna Sui, Rogan, Paula Cademartori, CO|TE and Pamela Love are bringing their expertise to the table, creating limited-edition shirts for Mustang Unleashed. Each designer has interpreted the Mustang spirit in a unique way and is being asked to express it with their individual style. 

Ford and Fashion Collaborate to Create the Mustang Unleashed Collection, which had a concept reveal by the designers on April 17th, on the observation deck of the Empire State Building. Each of the designers presented their personal inspiration from the Mustang and how they plan to express it through their t-shirt design. • Anna Sui: Originally from Detroit, Sui and the Ford Mustang have much in common. Her work is a mix of vintage style and current cultural obsessions, going beyond eras to create original pieces.

• Rogan: Rogan Gregory and Scott Mackinlay-Hahn founded this soulful, minimalist collection that creates strong graphic statements with traditional quality. Rogan blends modernism and asymmetrical construction to produce their innovative fabrications.

• Paula Cademartori: With a passion for fashion and feminine beauty, Cademartori has been acknowledged as an emerging designer by Vogue Italia. Her international debut took place in 2010 with her first collection of bags for the spring/summer 2011 season.

• CO|TE: Tomaso Anfossi and Francesco Ferrari founded this Italian brand, which reinterprets design themes from a contemporary point of view.

How to Take a 2015 Ford Mustang 1,000 Feet Above Manhattan

JACKSON, Mich - If you read our blog a few weeks ago, we mentioned the replication of a historic event taking place on top of the Empire State Building observation deck. In celebration of 50 years of Ford Mustang, Ford Motor Company is taking the 2015 to the top -and we mean to the very top. Now, the question is "How to Take a 2015 Ford Mustang 1,000 Feet Above Manhattan"? Cutting a Mustang into pieces isn't exactly easy, but Ford engineers and DST make it seem like a piece of cake.

First, Ford Engineers and the DST team sat down to make a plan. In order to take the 2015 Ford Mustang to the top of the Empire State Building, there would be some old-school craftsmanship required. With the building being too tall to reach with a portable crane and spire around the top of the narrow deck preventing helicopter delivery, the only possible way of delivery was via elevator. A wood mockup of the smallest elevator in the Empire State Building was built at the DST shop to ensure that everything would fit and that it did not exceed the weight limits of the elevator and observation deck.

To Take a 2015 Ford Mustang 1,000 Feet Above Manhattan, the car was completely stripped down and cleaned up to make sure that it looked absolutely perfect before it was sectioned and painted. The second body was a donor made by DST metal fabricators that helped determine where to make the cuts and where the custom-built tubular steel subframe could fit to hold all of the sections together. After many weeks of fabricating and practice, the DST crew is rested up and ready to assemble and disassemble the 2015 Ford Mustang tomorrow, April 16th. 

The 2015 Ford Mustang will be on the Empire State Building observation deck on April 16-17th. Sweet Treats for Easter

JACKSON, Mich - Looking for delicious and simple Sweet Treats for Easter? We have a tasty selection of simple recipes that will definitely satisfy your tastes buds! Don't worry about a ton of clean up or spending hours in the kitchen, all of these recipes have minimal ingredients and can be made in a snap! In fact, these treats are so easy that we were able to make most of them based off of a photo. How much more convenient could that be?

  

Who doesn't love a marshmallow Peep? Add a spin on this Easter classic by dipping them into chocolate and adding sprinkles or colored sugar. 

Ingredients: 1 package melted white or milk chocolate

1-2 packages of Peeps

1 container of sprinkles, colored sugar, etc.

Divide this treat into small bags or set it on the table as a pre-dinner snack! It is crunchy, sweet and will have you reaching for more after the first handful! Spread the pretzels, popcorn and Chex cereal out on a baking sheet covered in parchment paper. Pour the white chocolate over the mix and stir to coat every piece evenly. Drizzle the sprinkles over the mix and let it harden on the cookie sheet. Once the mix is hard, break apart into a large bowl or bags, add in the M&M's and enjoy!

Ingredients: 2 cups pretzels

1 bag popped white popcorn

1 package white melting chocolate

1 bag of festive M&M's 

2 cups of Chex cereal

1 container of colored sprinkles
Parchment Paper
Baking Sheet

Rice Krispie Treats are always a good idea! Once you have made your treats, cut them up into squares or with an egg shaped cookie cutter if you're looking for some extra Easter cheer. Melt the bag of chocolate over the stove and dip each treat into the chocolate. Lay on parchment paper to dry and top with sprinkles or candies. Let the treats harden at room temperature.

Ingredients: 6 cups of Rice Krispies Cereal

10oz mini marshmallows

1/4 cup of butter (1/2 stick)

1 bag of chocolate candy melts

1 container of sprinkles

Egg-shaped cookie cutter (optional)

Parchment paper

You can't beat the combination of salty and sweet! Once the chocolate has been melted, add the pretzel sticks to the pan. Stir them in carefully until they are completely coated. Form the pretzels into small "nests". Place the nests in the refrigerator for an hour and then use the extra melted chocolate as a "glue" to stick M&M's Speckled Eggs or any other candy of your choice on top!

Ingredients: 11-ounce bag of Milk Chocolate Morsels

2-3 cups of pretzel sticks (broken in half)

M&M's Speckled Eggs (or candy of your choice)
Parchment Paper
