Detroit Lions & Ford Bring Awareness to Detroit's "Meet Up & Eat Up" Program

Detroit Lions & Ford Bring Awareness to Detroit's "Meet Up & Eat Up" Program
JACKSON, Mich - Today marks the first day of a historical partnership as the Detroit Lions and Ford work together to bring awareness to Detroit's "Meet Up & Eat Up" program. The two organizations will combine their efforts to revitalize Detroit, put an end to food insecurity and educate the community about nutrition. The involvement of these two organizations will bring the "Meet Up & Eat Up" program resources and assets from the Ford Mobile Food Pantry and the Lions Living for the City programs.

As the Detroit Lions & Ford work together to bring awareness to Detroit's "Meet Up & Eat Up" program, they are each able to expand their outreach within the local community. Ford and the Detroit Lions are both deeply rooted within the community and committed to developing a brighter future for customers and fans. The partnership will benefit both of the organizations and will be a helpful tool to increase awareness and knowledge of health and wellness throughout Southeastern Michigan. Ford Motor Company and the Detroit Lions will be attending eight "Meet Up & Eat Up" sites throughout the rest of the summer season. Attendees will also enjoy the company of the Lions mascot, Roary, Detroit Lions players and alumni and Play 60 activities led by Playworks Detroit.
