Ford's NAIAS "Innovation Park" Display to Benefit Local Organizations

Ford's NAIAS "Innovation Park" Display to Benefit Local Organizations JACKSON, Mich. - Ford Motor Company's dedication to sustainability lives on! The automaker's NAIAS "Innovation Park" display will soon benefit two local organizations in Southeast Michigan. If you happened to visit Ford's display at the 2015 North American International Auto Show, you were able to witness the advances that Ford researchers have been making to use organic materials and reduce waste, carbon dioxide emissions, and water usage.

Ford is continuing these green building efforts by donating their Innovation Park to Detroit's Belle Isle Park and North Star Reach, a nonprofit organization in Pinckney, Michigan that provides a year-round camp for children with serious and life-threatening illnesses. All of the beautiful plants, trees, and flowers that decorated the display will be relocated in greenhouses on Belle Isle. As for the forty sections of concrete that served as the foundation for the display, North Star Reach will receive those plus two six-foot by two-foot concrete slabs to serve as a central gathering/campfire area that overlooks Patterson Lake.

Ford's NAIAS "Innovation Park" display will soon benefit two local organizations and will  continue the company's commitment to improving sustainability. Ford's Blueprint for Sustainability is focused on water and waste reduction and green building efforts. You can learn more about Ford's sustainability report by clicking here.
