Say Hello to the 2016 Lincoln MKX

JACKSON, Mich. - Say "Hello" to the all new 2016 Lincoln MKX, the second-generation crossover featuring a gorgeous new dramatic and sculpted look. Lincoln Motor Company stepped up their game with this model, creating it in such a way that it would appeal to a wide variety of customers all over the globe. The new 2016 Lincoln MKX will be able to provide customers with more technology, multiple engine choices, and a variety of customizable options.

The 2016 Lincoln MKX will have a standard 3.7-liter V-6 rated engine that will produce about 300 horsepower. Customers will also have the option of a 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine that is rated at roughly 330 horsepower! Regardless of the engine you choose, all of the power is sent to the MKX's front wheels through an automatic six-speed transmission with SelectShift and push-button controls. There will be six trim levels available on the 2016 MKX, including two brand new Black Label trims. One of the newest trims was inspired by the lifestyle, art scene, and fashion of 1920s Paris. The second represents the passion, excitement, and pageantry of thoroughbred horse racing.

You wanted more technology? Well, ask and you shall receive. The MKX is full of new driving and safety features like an available 360-degree camera, pre-collision assist, lane departure warning, and a new vehicle hold system so that the driver won't have to hold constantly hold the brake while sitting in traffic. The 2016 Lincoln MKX also offers adaptable LED headlamps that will help illuminate turns and winded the width of low beam between 0 and 35 mph! As far as entertainment technology goes, Lincoln and Revel have joined forces to bring the first high-end Revel audio system for the Lincoln brand. The available 13- or 19-speaker systems offer incredible three-mode Surround Sound, real-time music reconstruction from compressed sources, and a 20-channel high-voltage hybrid amp to provide listeners with the highest quality of dynamics.

The all new 2016 Lincoln MKX is expected to go on sale in the U.S. this fall!

Ford GT Named "Best Production Vehicle" at 2015 NAIAS

JACKSON, Mich. - If you happened to catch our last blog post, you'll know that Ford Motor Company kicked off the 2015 North American Auto Show by unveiling a trio of performance vehicles. There is one performance vehicle in particular that the public just cannot stop talking about and that is the ulta-high-performance Ford GT supercar!

There is a good reason for all of this chatter, too! Within 24 hours the Ford GT gained some serious recognition and was named "Best Production Vehicle" at the 2015 NAIAS by EyesOn Design. EyesOn Design are the official design awards for the North American International Auto Show, responsible for awarding the best production and concept vehicles making global debuts at the show. The board of judges for EyesOn Design is made up of current and former design leaders from global automakers and transportation departments at top art schools.

Is there really a reason to question the Ford GT being named the "Best Production Vehicle" at the 2015 NAIAS? The all-new GT is Ford's way of showing their commitment to innovation through performance. Every slope and shape on the Ford GT has been strategically placed to minimize drag. Even the active rear spoiler was designed with a purpose. The spoiler is keyed to both speed and driver input, then will deploy and adjust its height and/or pitch angle depending on the conditions.

Between the GT's twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine boasting 600-plus-horsepower and its seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle that provides smooth and almost-instant gear changes, we have no doubt that the right vehicle earned this title. As we've mentioned before, it is going to be a little while before we see this bad boy in showrooms. The Ford GT is expected to go on sale in 2016.

Ford Unveils Trio of Performance Vehicles at NAIAS

JACKSON, Mich. - It is safe to say that Ford Motor Company did not waste a minute of time on day one of the 2015 North American International Auto Show. With the debut of a mean looking SVT Raptor, a track-ready Shelby, and the returning GT, attendees had plenty to talk about yesterday at the Cobo Center in Detroit.

Ford unveiled a trio of performance vehicles at the NAIAS yesterday, which included the next-generation SVT Raptor, the Shelby GT350R, and the Ford GT supercar. First, let's talk about the creme de la creme, the sleek, the edgy, all-new Ford GT. This baby was most certainly the talk of the town yesterday, considering that Ford had kept the car secret until about a month ago when some leaks spread on the internet. The GT houses a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine that boosts 600-horsepower! The supercar also contains a fiber passenger cell, aluminum front and rear subframes, and carbon fiber body panels. Ford anticipates that the exclusive GT model will go on sale in 2016.

As anticipated, Ford also revealed the next-generation F-150 SVT Raptor. This high-performance off-road version of the all-new 2015 F-150 has officially been noted as Ford's toughest AND smartest truck. Along with its aluminum body and 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, the new Raptor also contains a new 10-speed transmission system and Fox Racing Shox that help to give the truck more grip and adaptability for off-road excursions. This beauty also has some pep in its step, producing 411 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque!

The third of Ford's unveiled performance vehicles at the NAIAS is the 2016 Ford Shelby Mustang GT350R, but you can simply call it the "Ultimate Mustang". This Shelby is the closest thing to a professional racing version of the Mustang that can actually be driven on public roads. Pause for astonishment. This Shelby contains a 5.0-liter flat-plane crank V-8 that can produce more than 500 horsepower! Ford decided shed some weight from the Mustang by using carbon fiber wheels and eliminating some basic features like a backup camera system.

The 2016 Ford Focus RS

JACKSON, Mich. - In 2002, Ford Motor Company launched the first-generation model of the Ford Focus RS. Now more than 13 year later, Ford has given the model a major facelift and will be presenting it to the public at the 2015 North American International Auto Show.

We've been hearing quite a bit of chatter about the 2016 Ford Focus RS! Aside from the fact that is taking the Focus' current list of credentials to a whole other level of awesome, it all also be offered in the U.S. for the first time in 2015. It seems that the all-new Ford Focus RS is doing away with its turbocharged, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine, and replacing it with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that cranks out around 330 horsepower. If that sounds at all familiar, it is because this is the same engine you can find in the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang!

The 2016 Ford Focus RS is anticipated to take center stage at Ford Motor Company's separate 2015 NAIAS display titled "Ford Performance". Families Can Keep In Touch and Stay Safe with Ford SYNC and Life360

JACKSON, Mich. - Ford Motor Company is doing all they can to help their customers "have it all". We've heard time and time again about all of the incredible benefits of Ford SYNC, but now Ford has added a very useful feature for modern families. Now, loved ones can keep in touch AND stay safe with help from Ford SYNC and Life360!

Have you ever heard of Life360? This free smartphone application debuted in 2008 and since has helped family and friends stay in touch during their busy days. Users are able to see where their circle of family and friends are on a private map, they can chat with each other through one-to-one or group messages, and even get help in the case of an emergency. Life360, which is currently being used by 48 million families worldwide, is being tweaked so that Ford SYNC AppLink-equipped vehicles and their drivers can reap all of the benefits.

Alright, so here's how it works. You start by using this awesome app to chat with all of your family and friends, then once your smartphone connects to Ford SYNC, the "Drive Mode" feature will prompt automatically. A message will be sent to everyone in your Life360 circle suggesting that they do not text you while you are driving. Once you arrive to your destination, a follow-up message will be sent out to your circle. Drivers will also be able to check the location of family and friends through the SYNC display or with simple voice commands like "Dave's location". The system will be pinpoint the person's location on a map and will even offer the driver a location address.

Families can keep in touch and stay safe with Ford SYNC and Life360. Together the brands are hoping to reduce texting and driving, while offering a safer way to keep families connected. Ford and Life360 will be demonstrating the app at the 2015 International CES in Las Vegas on January 6th through the 9th.
