Mustang is the Perfect Fit for "Need for Speed"

JACKSON, Mich - Director Scott Waugh of the soon-to-be hit movie, "Need for Speed", says that the Mustang is the Perfect Fit for the film. Waugh told Ford Media, "the best car movies combine tons of power, real-wheel drive, great handling and the ability to be easily flung around corners". What better choice than the all-new 2015 Mustang for the role? A car that Waugh and many can agree "represents America at its best".

As the the new Mustang's first film, "Need for Speed" is the perfect debut to show the true spirit of the Mustang to an audience. In the film Toby Marshall, portrayed by Emmy award-winner Aaron Paul, drives across the county to seek redemption after a friend of his was killed. The Mustang is the perfect vehicle for Toby not only because of its performance, but also its symbolic meaning. The pony car has been known for the past five decades for bringing a sense of passion, freedom, and optimism to fans and drivers.

The performance features of the Mustang are of course are a large contributor to the film. Ford engineers and designers equipped the "Need for Speed" Mustang with a custom wide-body kit, unique lighting, and a supercharged V8 engine. Even when the Mustang is parked it looks fast! Scott Waugh did what he had to do to ensure these and all other aspects of the beloved to vehicle were fully executed on the silver screen.

Scott Waugh recently released a co-branded ad for the film and the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang at the Daytona 500 this past Sunday. Along with promotion the vehicle and the movie, the ad also was the start of the #InaMustang social media campaign. Fans near and far can share their stories, videos, and photos of where they want to go "in a Mustang". Submitted stories to http://ford.com/inamustang will then be brought to life by Ford and content creators within social and film networks.

The 2015 Ford Focus Gets an "EcoBoost"

JACKSON, Mich - The 2015 Ford Focus Gets an "EcoBoost"; raising the bar once again in efficiency and performance. The world's best-selling nameplate has gotten some technological advancements and a brand-new look, improving Ford Focus driver's overall comfort and safety.

The 1.0-liter EcoBoost® engine is providing the 2015 Ford Focus with a perfect combination of high-quality performance and exceptional fuel efficiency. The 1.0-liter EcoBoost has been the named the International Engine of the Year for 2012 and 2013, bringing customers happiness both on the road and at the gas pump. Europe already has five nameplates with the 1.0-liter EcoBoost and the demand is only going up. EcoBoost technology is a combination of smaller-displacement engines that include turbocharging, direct injection, variable valve timing and proprietary Ford software. All of these components contribute to bringing Ford consumers top-quality performance and fuel efficient vehicles. The 1.0-liter EcoBoost® surpasses the fuel economy of the previous Ford Focus model and provides customers with a significantly better fuel economy than large-displacement gasoline engines.  

On top of being more efficient than ever, the 2015 Ford Focus is also full equipped with the latest technology such as BLIS®, a lane-keeping system, and SYNC AppLink™. The exterior has a redesigned trunk lid, grille, and hood. The Ford Focus's interior followed suit with a fresh look as well, complete with satin chrome detailing, new seat trims, and an available heated steering wheel. Ford China Starts off New Year with a Boom

JACKSON, Mich - Ford China Starts off the New Year with a Boom by setting a new sales record for the month of January. A massive 53 percent growth and sales of 94,466 climb over the January 2013 sales of 61,567. Now, which nameplates were responsible for these tremendous sales....

Ford China passenger cars, which include imported vehicles, were credible for 72,598 of vehicle sales. The Ford Focus lead in growth thanks to its high-quality, technologically advanced, fresh design that consumers just cannot get enough of. The nameplate sold 36,385 cars throughout the month, giving sales a nice eight percent increase. The Ford Mondeo nameplate was a high-demand vehicle with 10,704 cars sold; a 51 percent increase since last year. Jiangling Motors Corporation, also known as JMC, is Ford's commercial vehicle investment in China and also added to the success. JMC had a terrific January, selling 21,868 vehicles over the course of the month.

The All-New F-150's Snow Plow Solution

JACKSON, Mich - If you had to choose a word to describe this Michigan winter, what would it be? Does the words brutal, freezing ,never-ending, and SNOW come to mind? Well at the Chicago Auto Show, Ford Motor Company has announced a new feature on the 2015 F-150 that may solve a lot of our problems. The All-New F-150's Snow Plow Solution is adding a snow plow prep option across all cab configurations. 

Truck drivers will be able to get the latest and toughest tool ever with the snow plow prep option found on the all-new F-150. Ford is the only manufacturer offering a light-duty snow plow prep option across the Regular, SuperCab and SuperCrew models. Activating the snow plow mode just takes the push of a button; which then temporarily turns off unneeded features so that the plow can have enough power to function properly. Trucks equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 engine and four-wheel drive, like the XL, XLT, and Lariat trims, are eligible for the snow plow option. 

The 2015 F-150 taking the title as the toughest, most capable truck is not an understatement. After shedding 700 pounds of weight, it now has the perfect handling for plowing. Ford adding the snow plow prep kit to the lineup just emphasizes their overall goal: The F-150 provides the tools customers need to get the job done. 

Pricing for the snow plow prep option, excluding the plow, will not be announced until later this year. Owners who choose to purchase the new snow plow option will need to take their trucks to a Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier to purchase and install the plow hardware.

A Look Into Elegance: The 2015 Lincoln Navigator

JACKSON, Mich - Tomorrow, February 6th, the public will feast their eyes on a look into elegance: the 2015 Lincoln Navigator. The full-size luxury vehicle will make it's first debut at the Chicago Auto Show and give the audience a taste of all of the lavish improvements that have been made.

Complete with a renewed exterior design and updated interior, the all-new 2015 Lincoln Navigator is bringing customers more elegance than ever before. The new model's enhancements are ones that customers will appreciate, but will not take away from the original qualities that made the Navigator great. Now, not all of us will be able to head over to Chicago this weekend. So, here is a brief rundown of what those at the Chicago Auto Show will be witnessing and what the rest of us will have to wait to see until they go on sale early fall. 

Designers gave the front end a little face-lift, rounding it out and adding bi-functional high-intensity discharge adaptive headlamps. The rear end was given a more distinguished look with jewel-like LED tail lamps and a new power up/down tailgate. 

The inside of the Navigator has all of the bells and whistles any driver could want or need. Heated and cooled seats, the latest SYNC® with MyLincoln Touch, and the new Lincoln steering wheel wrapped in Wollsdorf leather with Euro stitching. Trevino leather, an extremely soft, yet rugged hide, lines the entire inside of the Navigator. This leather is not embossed, giving each vehicle unique characteristics that are shown in the different hides. The vehicle will offer an optional second-row seating, either a split bench or captain's chairs with or without a console. Extended length models will be offered as well, helpful for those who need extra cargo space. 

In roughly 24 hours, the lucky attendees of the Chicago Auto Show will get a look into elegance: the 2015 Lincoln Navigator. Production of the Navigator is scheduled to start late this summer at the Kentucky Truck Plant and make their way into the showrooms this fall.
