After testing at the automaker's Central Lab and Visual Performance Evaluation Lab, engineers designed individual parts to be stronger and more durable.

Fading and damage aren't the only effects the sun has on your vehicle though, it can also producing blinding glare. So, Ford engineers combated both direct and indirect glare in the F-150 by incorporating shaded gauges and by using advanced computer-aided design software ensure the materials used inside the truck are the least reflective. For the gauges that are shaded, supplemental lighting was used to enhance their readability. So while in other vehicles a glare can wash out your navigation or entertainment screen, you'll be fully protected in the 2015 F-150!
